Shift Information:

This is a full time position with the option to work four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts. No nights, no call, no weekends, no holidays.

What you will do:

The Outpatient RN obtains a health history on patients by telephone or appointment. When patient has appointment, the nurse does a physical assessment in addition to a history. Orders preadmission tests following anesthesia's criteria and physician orders. Uses nursing judgement when deciding which charts need to be seen by anesthesia.

Required

Education:



Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Preferred Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Texas license as a Registered Nurse. Certified in Basic Life Support.

Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Required Experience:
Two years experience as an RN in a hospital or outpatient environment.

Preferred Experience:
Critical care experience.
