Instructional Aide - Kindergarten

Job Description

Provide instructional enrichment to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher and/or campus administration. Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities.

Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.

• Provide enrichment to students under the direction of teacher or campus administration; work with individual students or small groups.
• Prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.
• Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
• Help teacher or administrators keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.

• Supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
• Make teachers or administrators aware of special needs or problems of individual students.
• Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
• Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned.
