We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our team for the busy seasonal period. As a Seasonal Hardware Store Associate, you will assist customers with their hardware needs, stock shelves, and maintain a clean and organized store. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for home improvement and DIY projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide knowledgeable advice on hardware, tools, and home improvement products.
- Assist with product selection and provide recommendations based on customer needs.
- Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure the store is well-organized.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist in product ordering.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and safe for customers and employees.
- Operate cash register and process transactions accurately.
- Assist with any other duties as needed.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of hardware products, tools, and home improvement projects preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCESome hardware knowledge.
LANGUAGE SKILLS- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Present information and respond to questions from customers or associates.
Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication).
