Wellspring Lutheran Services is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving families and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Foster Care Case Aide Supervisor to join our foster care team in Kentwood, serving families across Kent, Kalamazoo and Muskegon counties.
Responsibilities- Provide regular individual and group supervision and training to case aides.
- Input data per established guidelines into agency and contractor data collection systems.
- Handle and coordinate the ongoing personnel issues of the case aides; i.e., leave records, training records, participate in recruitment, interview, reference, and orientation process for new hires.
- Communicate employee performance expectation, conduct new hire six month evaluation, quarterly and annual evaluations. Develop performance improvement plans where required.
- Coordinate parenting time referrals and make appropriate assignments to staff, developing schedule and having it available to program staff. Coordinate child care for children as needed.
- Monitor, supervise, and coach parents during parenting times, providing required documentation of all interactions with clients on paper and/or in computer databases.
- Coordinate coverage when case aides are not available for scheduled activities/responsibilities.
- Assign tasks to case aides and monitor completion of tasks, e.g., ensure the visit rooms and waiting area are organized and cleaned on a weekly basis; and administrative tasks like copying, filing, recruitment events.
- Oversee and approve time sheets and staff expenses and mileage.
- Transport clients in your own vehicle.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent (required)
- Two years experience working with children and families (required)
- Valid Michigan driver’s license, vehicle registration and auto insurance (required)

- Employment Type:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week - Schedule:
Monday - Friday; some evening hours required - Salary: $40,000 – $46,000 / year, based on experience

Office-based with some community travel - Travel:
Occasional community travel required; mileage reimbursement provided
