Malone Workforce Solutions is hiring a Material Handler/ Forklift Operator for a local warehouse in Walton, KY. This is an excellent opportunity for dependable warehouse associates looking for a steady weekday schedule with competitive pay, and the potential to transition into a permanent role.
Shift Availability
1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM-$18.50/hour
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM-$19.50/hour
- Scheduled for 9-hour shifts (may end at 8 hours if work is complete; plan for full 9 hours)
- Overtime opportunities may be available
- Weekends generally off
- Temp-to-hire opportunity after 520 hours, based on performance and business needs
- No attendance occurrences permitted during the first week (strict attendance policy)
- Weekly Pay every FRIDAY
- Must submit to a drug test and Background Check
- Must be comfortable with both forklift operating along with manual labor
- Safely operate powered industrial vehicles (forklift, reach truck, order picker, walkie rider)
- Transport materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse
- Load and unload domestic and international shipments
- Pick and move product using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
- Stage, shrink-wrap, label, and prepare pallets for outbound shipment
- Perform cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy
- Replenish pick locations as directed by WMS
- Assist with team lifts for items over 50 lbs
- Operate battery-changing equipment and maintain powered industrial equipment
- Maintain organized pallet staging areas
- Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety procedures at all times
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience operating one or more of the following: sit-down forklift, reach truck, order picker, walkie rider
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs (team lift when required)
- Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and lifting
- Basic math and computer skills
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
