The Crew Chief/AC Mechanic position is responsible for supervising the day-to-day operation of all aircraft maintenance. In addition, this position will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance of aircrafts.

- Provide direction to mechanics including assigning scheduled maintenance packages and non-routines based on required skills, milestones, scheduling, and estimated man-hours
- Participate in daily maintenance meetings to review scheduled maintenance visit with regards to potential work scope and schedule changes, maintenance issues impacting visit, impact of issues, action plans, and long-term improvements
- Coordinate and report all maintenance activities and delays to Maintenance Control
- Conduct shift change meeting with oncoming shift to evaluate status of work package for completeness and open items
- Monitor duties and performance level of all MSP mechanics
- Support hangar maintenance with daily process improvements
- Ensure housekeeping of hangars, tooling and all Sun Country Airlines' property is kept up to standards
- Aid in troubleshooting of aircraft problems
- Monitor progress of workload to ensure schedule and airworthiness requirements are met
- Communicate with Maintenance management with relevant information
- Assist in the training of all new employees
- Coordinate aircraft movement and parking
- Monitor work performed and parts changed to ensure timely and cost-effective measures are maintained.
- Ensure adequate turnover is provided to oncoming shift
- Maintain availability to MSP mechanics for consultation when procedures require their presence.
- Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, Federal safety and health regulatory requirements, programmatic standards, and with any internal policies and procedures identified by Sun Country Airlines
- Any other duties assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A&P license required
- Must be highly motivated and a self-starter
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem solving skills
- Work effectively with minimal supervision under stressful situations
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be able to obtain SIDA badge
- 2 years line maintenance preferred
- 2 years 737NG jet experience preferred
- 737NG Familiarization Class preferred
- 2 years' experience in aircraft structural repair preferred
- Previous supervisory experience
- Valid US Passport preferred
$34.94 USD per hour. This is the base compensation hiring range for this role.

Work EnvironmentThis job operates in the maintenance hangar and ramp area. This role is routinely exposed to all weather elements.
Physical DemandsWork is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push or pull medium weights, up to 75 pounds. Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.
