Location: Midway

Midway University is actively seeking a full-time head coach to oversee and lead its Women’s Wrestling program. This is a full-time, 12-month position that reports directly to the Vice President of Athletics and Student Affairs.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Recruiting to achieve roster goals, competitive success, and academic performance in accordance with admissions procedures and scholarship requirements.
  • Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practice sessions, game plan preparation and strategy, competitions, and off-season training.
  • Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
  • Supporting academic progress, enforcing discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
  • Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coach and program volunteers.
  • Budgeting, fundraising, promoting and marketing the program.
  • Adhering to Midway University, Rivers States Conference, NAIA, and any other appropriate governing body policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Department.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated coaching experience is required. Prior collegiate coaching experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with and working knowledge of NAIA rules, along with a strong commitment to compliance, are essential.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travelling for away games, is required.
  • This position will require a background and driving record check.

  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships across campus.
  • Experience in recruiting student-athletes and managing coaching staff.
