Overview

Position Summary: Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking applicants that want to work with clients to effectively address clients’ care by assessing needs, developing, monitoring, and facilitating interdisciplinary approaches. This position will provide social services support to parents of children ages 0 through 5, located in Okaloosa County who present behavioral challenges in childcare settings or  Early Childhood Care Coordination (ECCC) program is designed to strengthen the bond of connection between caregiver and child, to promote healthy early childhood neurodevelopment in a safe and stable environment, both in the home and early childcare settings.

The Parent Support Coach (PSC) will provide support and coaching to parents/primary caregivers to increase family stability and decrease childcare disruptions or prevent out-of-home placements for the most challenging children.

Applicants must be outgoing and enjoy working with the public, professional, and para-professional team. Have the ability to collaborate and communicate with BCI departments and external stakeholders. Must be able to multi-task and remain professional at all times to ensure that each client has a positive and helpful therapeutic experience.

  • Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field.

    Bilingual/bicultural English and Spanish preferred (not required).

    Applicants must be able to pass an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
    Medicaid and Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) Level II background check (Clearinghouse Education and Awareness Website: ), National Sex Offender Registry search, Office of Inspector General (OIG) check (if you have previously worked for DCF (including Contract or Subcontract Provider), drug screen, and Tuberculosis (TB) test. Applicants must be at least twenty-one (21) years old and possess a valid Florida Driver’s License with no more than three (3) points on their driving record to be insured under BCI’s automobile insurance policy.

    The Parent Support Coach (PSC) will focus on the biological, cognitive, and socio-emotional development of the child by strengthening and preserving the child’s primary attachment and relationships.
