The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 12 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population.

The Electrician Licensed Supervisor at Little Sandy Correctional Complex supervises electricians and performs electrical work of all types; and performs other duties as required.

• Supervises the work of electricians and trainees involved in the installation and repair of electrical systems, appliances and motors.
• Inspects electrical wiring and fixtures for defects according to the electrical code.
• Checks for violations of current electrical code and reports to proper authorities.
• Determines proper material and equipment for use by subordinates.
• Diagnoses problems with electrical systems.
• Installs and repairs electrical systems, appliances and motors.
• Runs conduits for telephones and electric circuits.
• Installs and services public address systems.
• Keeps records of electrical projects, work time records, etc.
• Checks and makes minor repairs to generators.
