About the Role
We're seeking a Maintenance Technician to help maintain and improve our properties. This full-time, on-site role runs Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-5 pm, with occasional on-call shifts (one week per month). What You'll Do
Work Orders & Property Maintenance (60%)
- Troubleshoot plumbing, light electrical, and HVAC issues efficiently
- Assist with unit make-ready, painting, and repairs
- Preserve the charm and functionality of historic properties
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards
- Manage work orders via iPhone app, prioritizing tasks and escalating issues as needed
- Keep residents, vendors, and internal teams informed on work progress
- Coordinate with vendors as needed to complete work efficiently
- Respond to emergencies during scheduled after-hours shifts (one week/month)
- Address interruptions or unplanned events promptly
- Support team objectives and contribute to a positive resident experience
• What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- 1+ year of experience in make-ready, maintenance, or similar field
- Comfortable with hand tools and moderate-to-heavy physical work (lift 50-100+ lbs, climb ladders, stand ~90% of the workday)
- Self-starter with problem-solving skills and a team-player attitude
