Boone Quarry – Verona, KY - Employment type:
Full-Time - Shift: Approximate 6 a.m. – 5 p.m., or as needed by the operation
- Wages: $34–$40 per hour (higher starting pay based on experience and certification)

Hourly roles receive a bonus upon successful completion of the MSHA electrical exam after one year of service - Additional compensation:

Rogers Group is seeking an individual to fill a HIGH VOLTAGE INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICIAN position for Boone Quarry. The successful candidate will analyze and correct electrical problems, repair and overhaul electrical equipment and controls, and maintain a focus on safety excellence.
Qualifications- 3–5 years of electrical experience required, Journeyman Electrician License required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Industrial electrical experience required; industrial experience in a mining environment preferred
- Willingness to work overtime as operational needs require
- Analyses circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings to install, repair, calibrate, service or replace electronic devices and systems
- Receives wiring diagrams, specifications and instructions from supervisor covering emergency and scheduled repairs, installation, and electrical inspection work
- Performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical theory and principles, statutory codes, properties of materials, and principles of operation of electrical equipment
- Starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements
- Services electronic equipment by checking, testing, and replacing faulty components, circuits, printed circuit boards, and similar electronic devices
- Installs, repairs, and maintains communication cables, power distribution cables, and splices as required
- Familiarity and experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- Experience with high voltage (480 V) required
- Fabricates parts if not commercially available, using machine and hand tools common to the trade
- Determines need for, analyzes, and makes necessary running adjustments, repairs, and overhauls
- Advises and cautions operators and mechanics about potential electrical problems and inherent dangers involved
- Notifies supervisor of potentially dangerous electrical equipment noted and corrective action taken
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust, etc.)
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time throughout the workday, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
