Electrical Service Technician

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. (Elliot) has been providing electrical construction and maintenance services for over seven decades to investor‑owned utilities, municipalities, cooperatives, and others. Elliot is a full‑service electrical contractor specializing in overhead and underground distribution, transmission, substations, lighting, traffic signaling, utility locating, and industrial/commercial services.

• Troubleshooting and completing electrical circuits, lights, relays, sensors, motor starters, etc.
• Receiving and completing work orders
• Wiring
• Bending, threading, and installing EMT and galvanized rigid conduit
• Completing transformers, motor control, switchboards, and lighting applications
• Reading blueprints, drawings, schematics, and other reference material
• Training Electrician apprentices
• Operating tools and equipment according to company and OSHA safety procedures
• Working in commercial, residential, and industrial environments

• State electrical license is required.
• 5+ years of experience recommended.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• Willingness to travel outside of Lexington to perform work as needed.
• Good customer relations and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices such as NFPA 70E, lock out/tag out, PPE, etc.
• Eagerness to work collaboratively as part of a larger team.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own hand tools.
• Proficiency with NEC and local codes.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
