Responsibilities- Operate excavator: dig holes and trenches, remove and transport earth, gravel, and other materials; use bucket, hydraulic shovel, GPS grade technology.
- Operate bulldozer or grader: level and distribute soil, sand, ore, rock; gouge and clear; use GPS grade technology.
- Operate dump or roll‑off truck: transport and dump loose materials; operate controls; designated by material or truck type.
- Operate scraper/tractor: move, haul, and grade earth; control loading gate; use hydraulic hoses and power take‑off shaft.
- Operate water truck: transport water for construction projects; spray dust; perform inspections, maintenance, and adjustments.
- Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, MSHA and other related regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Proficiency with email, smart phone, tablet, or computer for company information and documents.
- Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.
- Maintain acceptable attendance standards per employee handbook.
- Approach tasks with meticulousness, thoroughness, and timeliness.
- Lift/Carry 0–10 lbs: occasionally.
- Lift/Carry 10–50 lbs: occasionally.
- Reach Above: occasionally.
- Bend/Stoop: occasionally.
- Use Hands for Manipulations: continuously.
- Vision Abilities: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjust focus.
- Hearing Abilities: hear equipment, facility signals, horns, alarms, radio, phone communications.
