Job DescriptionAllied Universal is currently hiring a Part‑time Security Officer for a Residential Site in Boston, MA.
Shift: Sundays 8 AM–4 PM.
Starting pay: $21.25 per hour. Paid orientation, paid training, Daily Pay available.
As a Security Officer in Boston, MA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as commercial real estate. As a flex part‑time officer you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will work as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help support a secure environment.
Your duties include completing routine rounds, staying highly visible to discourage incidents, assisting tenants and visitors, and documenting observations for the team.

- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial property.
- Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, tenant spaces as directed, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security‑related concerns.
- Monitor access points and lobby/garage activity as assigned, verifying authorized entry, assisting with directions, and reporting suspicious behavior in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting site management and/or emergency services as needed and documenting actions taken.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and daily activity reports, and communicate key observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts during shift transitions.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
