US – National Sales Manager (Hearth/Grills)

The National Sales Manager provides strategic leadership for all U.S. sales activities, ensuring the achievement of revenue, profitability, and market growth objectives. This role is responsible for directing regional sales managers and their teams, aligning sales strategies with organizational goals, and building sustainable customer and dealer relationships nationwide. By combining financial discipline with innovative sales practices, the National Sales Manager drives long‑term growth and positions the company as a leader in the specialty retail environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute upon the annual sales strategy to drive growth and profitability.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs across all regions, ensuring accountability and alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop their sales teams, ensuring succession planning and career development.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, finance, and operations to align sales initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Oversight into financial performance of the sales function, including forecasting, pricing integrity, and achievement to budget.
  • Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and risks.
  • Build and maintain executive‑level relationships with key customers, dealers, and distributors nationwide.
  • Drive accountability through sales enablement tools (ie: Power BI) to improve pipeline visibility and team productivity.
  • Manage strategic relationships to optimize outcomes for both company and customers.
  • Represent the company at national trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, ethics, and continuous improvement across the sales organization.
  • Travel required (up to 50%–75%) including customer visits, training support, trade shows, participating in workshops and industry functions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and professional associations.
  • Assist in the recruitment process to build and train an efficient and dedicated sales team.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in multi‑regional or national leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and social media applications.
  • Proven ability to lead sales organizations, grow market share, and manage national accounts in a specialty retail or consumer durable products environment.
