Primary Care Sales Consultant - Louisville, SC / Somerset, SC

This posting outlines the role in the Primary Care Sales Consultant function, including responsibilities, qualifications and expectations as part of the US Pharma organization.
The position reports to the CVR Area General Manager (AGM) and will be an integral part of the Area Customer Squad, collaborating with Marketing, Market Access, Patient Services and other internal partners to drive outcomes. Coverage is the Louisville, SC / Somerset, SC metropolitan area. Travel up to 50% within the territory. The position is residence-based and candidate must be domiciled within the territory.
Responsibilities- Build and develop professional relationships with primary care, pharmacy staff, within assigned customers
- Drive appropriate utilization of approved CV and menopause products; work with the Customer Squad to generate pull-through within local payers and community HCPs
- Leverage knowledge of the diabetes and menopause marketplace, competitors, and cross-functional plans to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges
- Provide input to sales leadership and regional account managers for strategic and tactical planning for territory, area, and region
- Develop and implement customer-specific business plans; share insights with internal stakeholders
- Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of physician specialists based on opportunity and potential
- Understand customers’ product and business needs and work to meet those needs while adhering to Bayer ethics and compliance standards
- Anticipate barriers to goals and propose responsible solutions
- Handle objections effectively and exceed customer expectations with the value offered to physicians; may train others in the region
- Leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance and improve proficiency
- Understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations and apply high ethical standards in day-to-day work
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
- Proven track record of consistent high performance in a sales role or relevant experience
- Proven track record in developing long-standing relationships with customers
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership and commitment to ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and laws
- Ability to comply with customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., vaccinations, trainings)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred qualifications
- Advanced degree is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical sales
- In-depth knowledge in cardiovascular and/or diabetes and/or menopause disease states
- Product launch experience
- Strong analytical and computer capabilities
- Virtual Sales experience
- Strong local relationships with HCPs and understanding of local market
Compensation and employment details
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $ to $. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is an estimate and may vary based on location, experience, degrees and certifications, and other factors.
