Food Service Associate

• Opens and ensures the food service department is ready for business during service hours
• Provides prompt and courteous service to customers
• Communicates effectively with store associates
• Follows all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to store operation
• Controls food preparation to avoid waste while ensuring enough for customers
• Treats all associates with dignity and respect
• Advises the store manager of personnel situations or policy violations affecting store performance
• Assists in training new associates on proper duties
• Ensures associate shift procedures are followed and maintains a safe environment
• Maintains safety rules and proper use of protective equipment
• Uses current plan-o-grams and communicates special needs or requests to the manager
• Monitors inventory to prevent stockouts and maintain appropriate levels
• Actively promotes the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app and explains benefits to customers
• Monitors transactions for potential misuse of points or discounts
• Assists customers with sign-up and app usage for discounts and redemption
• Maintains food service appearance and cleanliness; reports maintenance issues promptly
• Follows sanitation procedures
• Uses ladders and lifting procedures per company policy
• Post wet floor signs as required and reports accidents promptly
