At Five Star, the Shift Supervisor partners with the store management team to learn and assist in managing overall store operations, including accounting, marketing, customer service, and food service.

• Proficient in customer service and food service responsibilities.
• Practice and promote the Five Star treatment (friendly atmosphere, meeting customers’ needs, suggestive selling).
• Partner with the Five Star team to provide service as outlined by company policies and procedures.
• Assist in timely and thorough training of the store team.
• Assist in educating the store team on policies and communications.
• Merchandise and ensure adequate inventory levels (evaluate displays, pricing, promotional signage, out of stocks).
• Take responsibility for general store operations in the absence of the store management team, ensuring inventory control methods are in place, equipment remains in good condition, accounting and paperwork tasks are completed timely, and safety and robbery prevention guidelines are followed.
• Partner with store management to assure quality food operation, evaluating appearance of food service areas, food quality, signage, and adherence to food service guidelines.

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Team player, customer-focused, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.
• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to work on different shifts (a.m., p.m., overnight), weekends, and holidays.
• Daily standing, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, squatting, climbing, walking, lifting (up to 55 lbs.), working in cold indoor environments (35° or less), and food service preparation.
• Ability to work in varying seasonal weather conditions.
