Overview
The Regional Kitchen Stock Clerk will unload and stock raw, dry, and prepared food items for the Gateway Area Development District Senior Centers Division. The Regional Kitchen Stock Clerk is responsible for keeping shelves organized and stocked with prepared food items, using stocked goods to pack meals in coolers for the senior center home delivered meal program, and putting stock away as it is received.
GeneralDuties and Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries and unpack boxes.
- Unload items and stock shelves and freezers.
- Restock inventory.
- Pack home-delivered meals in cooler(s)/carrier(s).
- Clean coolers/carriers for home-delivered meals.
- Gather supplies from lists to be delivered to senior center(s)/nutrition site(s).
- Answer and direct telephone calls.
- Assist participants with various needs.
- Cover/operate senior center(s)/nutrition site(s).
- Cover meal delivery routes.
- Assist with general cleanup of the regional kitchen, appliances, etc.
- Participate in trainings.
Physical Requirements: Stand and walk for extended periods of time; reach, stoop, crouch, bend, and work in cramped spaces; ascend/descend ladders; ability to lift and carry approximately 60 pounds; fine motor skills; operate a vehicle.

Working Conditions: Sub-zero conditions while working inside the walk-in freezer; indoor office conditions; outdoor conditions during various weather conditions and on various terrains; possible wildlife/animal encounters during home meal deliveries.
Availability and Travel: Occasional travel within region.
Tools, Equipment, and Vehicle Use: Standard office equipment (computers, printers, scanners, phones, etc.); industrial kitchen equipment; and fleet vehicle(s)/large van(s).

Location:
This is a 30-hour-per-week position. The position is based at the Menifee County Senior Center/Regional Kitchen, located at 68 Old Campus Road, Frenchburg, KY 40322. Pay is $13.00 per hour.
Status: This position will remain open until filled.

Minimum Qualifications- Education: High School Diploma/GED or higher.
- Certification and Trainings: Valid Driver’s License required. Additional certifications may be required upon hiring. Employees may be expected to attend professional development trainings related to programs and services provided through senior center sites.
- Experience: Entry-Level Position. One (1) or more years of related work experience preferred.
