JOB SUMMARY
The Bartender is responsible for providing patrons with excellent service promptly and assisting beverage servers with orders to ensure quality guest service and give the patrons a favorable gaming experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare drinks correctly at the bar for patrons and cocktail staff.
- Assisting with the cleaning of the bar area and assisting with inventory maintenance.
- Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests.
- Responsible for performing “responsible alcohol service” concerning patron limitations and passing any/all responsible alcohol service training.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of all bar equipment, cash registers, and Berg beverage system.
- Knowledge of sanitation and health department regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
- Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to handle high‑pressure demands.
- Must be able to work an alternate schedule with a minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice.
- Must be available on weekends and holidays.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior Bartending experience preferred.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
