Position Summary:

Performs quality inspections and audits in accordance with quality assurance program guidelines to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

• Collects, and maintains, quality-related data to identify trends and conditions that may negatively impact the quality of the product.
• Completes hourly inspections of product being produced on the line
• Performs inspection of incoming material and works with personnel to identify; isolate and trouble shoot quality related concerns.
• Performs thorough inspection of all material prior to machine start up and between changeovers.
• Assists the production lines as the Quality Assurance resource for all issues pertaining to the quality of the product.
• Reports quality issues to management.
• Maintains all quality records and documentation.
• Reports on, documents and reviews product and material in quality assurance hold area.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Makes recommendations to stop production based on quality or maintenance issues.
• Continually checks product and process to ensure all specified requirements are met.
• Assists in production line set up and during changeovers as needed.
• Provides feedback to other line workers regarding Quality issues.
• Strives for continuous improvements in production process.

Job Specifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior quality experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred but not required.
• Willingness to train in FSC
  22000, Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing.
• Ability to work under pressure and follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
• Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
• Good understanding of ruler, calipers and thickness gauge.

High School or better.

Prior quality experience in a fast-paced production environment preferred but not required.
