Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine – KY

Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner seeking a flexible opportunity to serve Veterans while advancing your career? We are currently recruiting a highly skilled Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide vital General Medicine services across Kentucky.

This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on our nation's heroes, all while enjoying competitive compensation and professional support.

In this dynamic position, you will perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, primarily conducting interview-based evaluations with some physical assessments. The role requires independence, excellent clinical judgment, and adherence to strict procedural guidelines. Required Skills:

Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Kentucky

Proven experience in General Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine

Strong assessment and interviewing skills

Ability to perform physical exam components such as range of motion and muscle strength testing

Excellent clinical documentation abilities

Reliable and professional work ethic

Ability to work independently within a mobile setting

Nice to Have

Skills:

Previous experience with Compensation & Pension evaluations or military health assessments

Familiarity with VA or federal healthcare procedures

Additional certifications in geriatrics, occupational health, or related specialties

Preferred

Education and Experience:

Master's degree or higher in Nursing (MSN or DNP)

At least 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner

Prior experience in a legal or government health setting is a plus

Other Requirements:

Own a suitable office or clinic space within KY within a 50-mile radius of Paducah

Willingness to perform examinations on a PRN basis, including ½-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts

Ability to complete administrative follow-up work, including report submissions and addendums

No need for additional certifications such as DMA; certification or training costs are not reimbursed prior to employment
