Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Kentucky

Role Overview :
As a Locum Nurse Practitioner in General Medicine, you will conduct one-time compensation and pension examinations, including separation health assessments, primarily interview-based with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing. You will work independently, utilizing your clinical expertise to support veterans’ healthcare needs. The role offers flexible scheduling—half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts—designed to accommodate your availability, with travel and overhead costs covered within the rate structure.

Required Skills:
Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Kentucky
Proven experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields
Ability to perform physical assessments, including range of motion and strength testing
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Organized with ability to manage documentation efficiently
Nice to Have
Skills:
Prior experience with compensation and pension examinations
Background in orthopedic, disability, or veteran health services
Familiarity with VA or military health systems
Preferred
Education and Experience:
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
Minimum of 2 years clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner
Experience in conducting specialized assessments or evaluations is advantageous
Other Requirements:
Own an active practice location within Kentucky (local candidates only)
Willingness to perform examinations on a PRN basis, with flexible scheduling
Ability to complete required training and perform initial exams to qualify for bonus incentive
Reliable internet and computer for administrative follow-up work
The hourly pay rate for this position is $402.00, with no overtime or holiday rates applicable. You will receive weekly pay via direct deposit, along with comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick leave, licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements as applicable.
