Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a KY or compact license and strong critical care skills for night shifts.
Responsibilities- Work in the ICU/CCU of a hospital setting
- Care for critically ill adult patients with a patient ratio of 1:2
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30, rotating 36/48 hours every two weeks
- Floating to other units required if census is low
- Uses Meditech EMR; experience with this system is preferred
- 13-week contract assignment
- Bi-weekly orientation is provided
- Travelers are not allowed to work as travel pairs except under special circumstances
- No local candidates accepted due to radius rule
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA only)
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
- Ability to float to other units as needed
