Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with at least 2 years’ operating room experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

Responsibilities
Work in the Operating & Recovery Room of a hospital setting
Patient cases include general OR, vascular (endarterectomy, stents, aneurysm, vessel cleaning), orthopedics (totals, ORIF, arthroscopy), general surgery, laparoscopy, GI endoscopy, some GYN, and ENT procedures
Assist with PACU recovery during call back situations
Shifts are 8 hours, 07:00–15:30
Work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next week on a weekly rotation
On-call required one shift per week and one weekend per month
No local candidates accepted due to a 100-mile radius rule
RNs are expected to assist with recovery of patients during call backs
Relief coverage for ENT procedures may be part of responsibilities
Orientation is provided on a bi-weekly basis
Assignment confirmation must be completed within 24 hours of offer acceptance
Travel pairs are not permitted unless specifically allowed by unit needs

Requirements
Active KY or compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years’ recent operating room RN experience
Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA required), and PALS as unit requires
Travel nursing experience preferred
Must live at least 100 miles from facility to be considered
Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
Two professional references required
