Worship Pastor First Baptist Church Leitchfield KY

First Baptist Church, Leitchfield, Kentucky is looking for a Worship Pastor, who will shepherd the people of FBC through planning and leading worship and other gatherings of the church. Responsibility shall also be given to developing and implementing opportunities for discipleship.

First Baptist Church is a multi-generational congregation, averaging 250+ in worship. It has a rich history of worshiping and serving God that spans over 220 years. FBC is a congregation-led church, with a heart for service and outreach. FBC is a member of the South-Central Baptist Association (formerly Warren Association of Baptists), the Kentucky Baptist Convention, and the Southern Baptist Convention.

First Baptist Church is located in Leitchfield, KY, which is situated between the peaceful shores of Rough River Lake and Nolin Lake in Grayson County. Summary:

The Worship Pastor will fulfill the mission of First Baptist Church primarily through the planning and leading of blended, thematic worship services and other congregational gatherings, as well as the organization of select community outreach events. Additionally, the position will have the responsibility of giving direction to Christian education and discipleship opportunities.

• Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
• Be a current member of a Southern Baptist Church, with beliefs that align with the Baptist Faith and Message (c. 2000)
• Live a life aligned with the qualifications for an “overseer” in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1
• Have been previously ordained or be willing to be ordained
• Have at least 3-years of full-time ministry experience
• Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, with at least a minor in music
• Be well versed in both traditional hymns and contemporary praise and worship music
• Have a passion and basic understanding of Christian education and discipleship
• Have an ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and rapport with church members and staff

$50,000 to $60,000 (plus insurance and retirement benefits)
