Overview

Starting Wage: $35.98 - $41.43/hr (Based on Tech Level)

Shift: Sunday – Thursday 11:00PM – 7:30AM

Our retail brands include Marzetti® dressings and dips, New York Bakery™ garlic breads, and Sister Schubert’s® dinner rolls, in addition to exclusive license agreements for Olive Garden® dressings, Chick-fil-A® sauces and dressings, Buffalo Wild Wings® sauces, Arby’s® sauces, Subway® sauces, and Texas Roadhouse® steak sauces and frozen rolls. Our food service business supplies sauces, dressings, breads, and pasta to many of the top restaurant chains in the United States.

Business Context: The Sister Schubert’s Horse Cave Campus is expanding, and this Maintenance Tech role supports plant machinery, grounds, buildings and equipment maintenance and repair.

  • Actively participates in Marzetti Operational Excellence, special projects or tasks, and modification programs as needed with prior approval.

  • Maintains highest standard of Safety for all functions on an ongoing basis and ensures compliance for self and others to OSHA standards.
  • Performs daily inspection of all PPE required including but not limited to slip-resistant/steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, shields and aprons to ensure good overall condition of items that provide optimal personal safety & protection while working in the facility.
  • Successfully acquires and maintains Lock Out-Tag Out Certification for machine and safely performs all functions in accordance to OSHA and company requirements and standards.
  • Performs daily inspection of power equipment with proper documentation.
  • As a member of the T. Marzetti Company, completes Behavior Based Safety Observations (BBSO), corrects issues when identified, and participates in problem solving.

  • Leads and promotes a strong Food Safety Culture within the facility.
  • Completes Behavior Based Quality observations (BBQs), corrects issues when identified and participates in problem solving.
  • Ensures compliance to quality, Food Safety Preventive Control (FSPC), FSMA, Food Defense, OSHA and other programs; conforms to all company, customer and government standards.
  • Reviews, understands, and complies with all applicable SOPs containing Process or Preventive Control monitoring or verification, if trained and designated as a Qualified Individual (QI).
  • Communicates concerns related to product safety, integrity, quality and legality to management or through the confidential hotline if anonymity is necessary.

  • Maintain cleanliness, safety & productivity; ensure 5S, HACCP & OSHA standards
  • Paint & repair surfaces around buildings & grounds
  • Perform tasks of Maintenance Tech levels as applicable
