Job Summary
The Automated Machine Operator is responsible for the correct operation of machinery used in the assembly automated processes, including troubleshooting equipment and processes. Must be available for daily and weekend overtime as required.
Pay Range: $20.12 per hour - $22.00 per hourESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow all safety and environmental procedures
- Fundamental automated operation, safety features, emergency stop location, operation of loading equipment, and automated equipment and machinery cleaning procedures.
- Automated machinery startup and shut down procedures.
- Understand the use of written set up sheets, documentation of the production run, proper production reporting, how to fine‑tune the machinery in the automated processes and the quality procedures for part approval.
- Correctly use plug gauges, calipers, and pull testers.
- Identify quality defects and adjust machinery as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Must support safety policies and practices that apply to assigned area. Strong math skills and ability to calculate averages, ratios, and percents. Ability to learn and perform all team jobs. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively interact with people. Ability to learn basic PM and minor machine adjustment. Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal). Must be self motivated and have the ability to interpret data for corrective actions.
Demonstrated positive performance record. Strong aptitude to effectively train others. Mechanical aptitude. Flexible with work schedule to include both daily and weekend overtime.
