The EHS Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the company s environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves promoting a positive safety culture, reducing occupational hazards, and minimizing the company s environmental impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for coordinating and maintaining the ISO 14001, 50001 and 45001 (now OSHA’s 18001 compliance standards.
• Train and certify Forklift drivers.
• Compiles materials and writes Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reports.
• Trains employees to obtain compliance with regulations and to increase proficiency in safe practices.
• Recommends changes in policies and procedures for required safety programs and safety incentive programs.
• Investigates accidents, prepares accident reports, and assists with workers  compensation claims.
• Case management of workers' compensation claims.
• Assists management in preparing health, safety, and environmental budget.
• Organizes waste management and recycling.
• Develops and monitors emergency action plans.
• Maintain a competent and trained safety and first aid team with required monthly meetings.
• Inspect/tour the facility to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated.
• Keeps managers and employees alerted as to the hazards of working with toxic fumes, dangerous chemicals, and any other hazardous substances.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate SDS sheets.
• Completion of projects as assigned.

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment.
• Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations

• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, training, and presentation skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attributes: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001 management systems.
