Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership:
    Supervise and mentor production supervisors, team leads, and operators; set performance goals and conduct evaluations.
  • Manage Production

    Schedule:

    Develop and implement plans to meet production schedules that satisfy customer demand, quality expectations, and established ship dates.
  • Supervise Staff:
    Lead and motivate production teams, monitor performance, evaluate staff, and identify training needs.
  • Resource Management:
    Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
  • Quality Control:
    Work with Quality Assurance to ensure products meet specifications and resolve quality issues quickly.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Promote a culture of continuous improvement to eliminate issues that disrupt the production process.
  • Collaboration:

    Ensure open communication and effective collaboration between production teams and supporting departments to prevent production delays, quality issues, and safety risks.
  • Work with Maintenance to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans:
    Creating schedules for routine inspections, cleaning, and servicing of equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend asset lifespan.
  • Reporting and analysis:
    Generate reports on production KPI’s, activities, and present to stakeholders.
  • Process Compliance:
    Ensure all production activities comply with established processes, work instructions, quality standards, and safety requirements to achieve consistent and repeatable results.
Required Skills
  • Leadership:
    Ability to supervise, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
  • Administration and Management:
    Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Communication:
    Strong communication skills to convey information effectively to staff, management, and other departments.
  • Critical Thinking:
    Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Financial Management:
    Comprehension of financial statements and the impacts of costs on gross margin and net revenue.
  • Technical and Analytical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in relevant software and the ability to analyze data to improve processes.
  • Understanding of Production Processes:
    Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Problem‑solving

    Skills:

    Diagnosing equipment production and related issues, identifying root causes, and developing effective solutions.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    Knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements.
  • Lean Manufacturing:
    Demonstrates the ability to apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste, improve process flow, and increase productivity while maintaining quality and safety.
  • Time Management:
    Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership positions.
  • 3+ years of experience as a production manager.

Physical Requirements
  • This position requires the incumbent’s presence on site in the plant / in the office for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
