Mobile Equipment Operator - Level I; Haul Truck

About the Role

Mobile Equipment Operator I (Haul Truck) position is a key role transporting materials throughout the quarry into piles, trucks or crushers, depending upon production/shipping requirements. The Operator will maintain a night shift schedule.

• Primary operations of haul trucks, water trucks, and fuel trucks.
• Operate mobile equipment such as front end loaders (993s, 992s, 980s), haul trucks, dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators, fuel trucks, dredges and skid‑steer loaders as required.
• Inspect all operating equipment each shift, complete inspection sheets and report problems.
• Correct malfunctions or irregularities of operating equipment and safety hazards or report to quarry supervisor if corrections cannot be made.
• Perform cleanup to maintain a safe working environment.
• Take accurate counts of material additions as required.
• Maintain strong communication with quality personnel and adjust material blends as necessary.
• Communicate safety, maintenance and production needs.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
• Promote a culture of safety, adhering to health, safety and environmental policies.

• Ability to read and write.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working in varying weather conditions; quarry experience preferred.
• Experienced with operating, maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment.
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions.
• Self‑motivated with a solid work ethic.
• Highly dependable, able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to learn plant flow, plant operations and screening.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Ready for shift work, callouts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime, weekend and holiday work; schedule may be adjusted on short notice.
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and use Amrize approved PPE, including respirators if required.
