Ghent, KY – 2nd shift Mechanic. $5,000 retention bonus. Applicants must pass a pre‑employment physical exam and drug screen. Classification and base pay rate will depend on skill set and prior experience.

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance activities for cast and form steel production equipment such as sheet, coil, I‑beam, and billets.
• Read and interpret written work instructions, engineering specifications, and measuring instruments.
• Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation and analyzing wear and tear.
• Remove and replace defective parts by dismantling devices using hoists, cranes, hand and power tools.
• Assemble and disassemble casting equipment at the customer site.
• Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Current, valid driver license.
• Ability to read and interpret measuring instruments.
• Preferred: previous industrial/mechanical maintenance experience.

Hand, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, indicators, gauges, micrometers.

• Work performed at ground level and above.
• Frequent: walking, standing, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying twenty (20) lbs or less.
• Occasional: climbing, kneeling, crouching, lifting and carrying fifty (50) – thirty (30) lbs.
