Hydraulik Operative – Hydraulink Australia
Join us to become a Hydraulik Operative at Hydraulink Australia. This role invites experienced warehousing and hydraulics professionals to support our high‑quality multi‑product install, repair, and maintenance service.
OpportunityThis position is based in our Smithfield Branch and involves assisting our team in delivering installation, repair, and maintenance services and in managing warehouse operations from inbound goods to dispatch.
Key Responsibilities- Fit fabricated metal parts into products and assemble metal parts and sub‑assemblies to produce machines and equipment.
- Study drawings and specifications to determine suitable materials, methods, and sequence of operations and machine settings.
- Check fabricated and assembled parts for accuracy, clearance, and fit using precision measuring instruments.
- Set guides, stops and other controls on machining tools, set up prescribed cutting and shaping tools in machines and presses.
- Form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances using machining tools to press, cut, grind metal.
- Diagnose faults and perform operational maintenance of machines.
- Erect machines and equipment on‑site as required.
- Pick and dispatch hydraulic fittings and orders and cut and dispatch hydraulic and industrial hose.
- Assist with hose kit manufacturing as required.
- Stock‑take, cycle count and administer stock inventory.
- Previous warehousing experience and/or trade background (mechanical or hydraulic).
- Understanding of hydraulic hose & fitting manufacture, repair and maintenance (advantageous).
- Working knowledge of Pronto.
- Excellent task management capabilities, including well‑developed time management, attention to detail and administration skills.
- Forklift ticket.
- Residency or valid working rights and a current driver’s licence.
