Electromechanical Technician

Job Overview

Hussey Copper, LLC. (dba Hussey Copper) is hiring an Electromechanical Technician at its Eminence Kentucky facility. The role will plan, perform, and maintain plant machinery, electrical, and facilities, including welding, flame cutting, fabrication, and routine maintenance of rolling mills and auxiliary equipment.

• Interpret wiring diagrams, installation/service manuals, blueprints, product drawings, plant layouts, and order flow.
• Install, maintain, and repair equipment and machines, including control panels, power/lighting service lines, and automatic controls.
• Measure, cut, align, thread, and assemble pipe, conduit, PVC for gas, electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and water process systems.
• Test and inspect fire pumps and associated devices.
• Diagnose and trace causes of malfunctioning or improper equipment.
• Provide effective service repair and maintenance to rolling mills, furnaces, machine tools, and auxiliary equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and service duties such as portable power equipment, pumps, compressors, air and hydraulic devices.
• Change rolls in all types of rolling mills and record rotation procedure.
• Perform routine lubricating plant machinery and equipment.
• Use a variety of measuring devices including calipers, height gauge, micrometer, chamfer gauge, depth gauge, go/no go gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, protractor, and tape measure.
• Identify correct tooling needed, change out tools, and use standard tools such as deburring tools, power tools and hard tools.
• Modify machine speed tooling and cutting style to ensure precision and accuracy of parts.
• Oversee process, adjust, catch errors, and correct as necessary.
• Operate crane and forklift as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with quality measuring devices such as calipers, height gauge, micrometer, chamfer gauge, depth gauge, go/no go gauges, pin gauges, thread gauges, protractor, and tape measures is preferred.
