Sanitation Specialist

The Sanitation Specialist works in a state‑of‑the‑art, climate‑controlled facility located in Lebanon, KY. The role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the entire worksite, including the production floor, offices, common areas, restrooms, and surrounding grounds. This position works independently and requires a self‑motivated, self‑sustaining individual who communicates well with their supervisor and complies with all Safety and Safe Quality Foods policies.

• Performs general janitorial duties throughout the plant and attached offices.
• Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming.
• Services, cleans, and supplies restrooms.
• Mixes water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Cleans indoor and outdoor windows, glass partitions, or mirrors.
• Cleans employee common areas.
• Cleans and sweeps plant aisles, driveways, yard and parking areas.
• Picks up trash and debris in and around the plant.
• Empties all trash containers in the facility as needed.
• Stocks PPE stations throughout the facility.
• Operates a scissor lift for overhead cleaning.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

• Ability to stand and walk for the full shift is required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and technologies.
• Ability to use all required cleaning instruments and equipment.
• Knowledge and compliance of all safety guidelines.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Custodial experience preferred.

The employee will primarily be in a climate‑controlled facility. The plant floor is subject to vibration, equipment noise, and cleaning solvents, which can create a loud environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and may encounter outside conditions, tight spaces, cleaning solvents, and heights.

The following physical demands are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to talk and listen regularly.

• Continuous (6 or more hours per day) bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, reaching, lifting, and grasping.
• Continuous (6 or more hours per day) talking, listening, teaching, and repetitive motion, hand/wrist movement.
• Continuous (6 or more hours per day) standing and walking.
• Frequent (1 to 3 hours per day) work in a stooped position.
• Good eyesight and normal hearing.
• Ability to move and lift objects, frequently 50 lbs.

Should not be required.

This is a full‑time position. Days, nights, and hours may vary depending on assigned shift and production requirements.
