• Performs minor and major repair of buildings and equipment, performs preventive maintenance and quality audits as appropriate, performs grounds upkeep which may include debris and/or snow removal, participates in safety checks and procedures (e.g., fire drills, exit lights).
• Assists with renovation projects which may require plaster, drywall, painting, moving equipment, etc., and collaborates with other departments as needed.
• Responds to emergency situations as requested.
• Performs routine maintenance requests as submitted by outside departments.
• Performs upkeep and record keeping of systems for which skill set employee has.
• Reports to the Facilities/Maintenance manager and keeps the manager informed of issues encountered. Other duties may be assigned. May be requested to be a member of the QI team.
• Frequently accesses email to stay up to date on information within the organization and provides a means of communication between staff members.
• Performs all procedures according to established policies and procedures of OCH and adheres to legal compliance policies and other regulatory issues.

General maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Has a skill set which includes any of the following: electricity, HVAC, plumbing.
