Position Summary

Support the in-house legal needs of the Company by drafting documents, organizing files, reviewing basic contracts and responding to legal concerns from outside parties.

Duties And Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Primary internal resource in areas of Labor, Corporate Governance, Business and Commercial law.
  • Draft and prepare a wide range of legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and investigations
  • Manages electronic and physical filing systems
  • Issue legal correspondence
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Support arbitration/Workers Comp case preparation
  • Order approved office supplies as needed; enter orders and PO’s in Coupa as necessary.
Marginal Functions
  • Participate in Departmental meetings.
  • Monitors compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Job Specifications
  • Associate’s degree (or higher) in paralegal studies or equivalent work experience or completion of a formal paralegal program
  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
  • Basic understanding of legal principles and proceedings
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Hyper-organized
  • Fundamentals of business mathematics
  • Fundamentals of legal writing
  • Familiarity with relevant Law
  • Advanced multi-tasking skills; and refined written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exhibits accuracy, attention to detail and ability to maintain absolute confidentiality in all aspects of human resources work.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel to off-site locations as required.
