The IBM Z Resiliency Solutions Sales Specialist is responsible for driving strategic revenue growth across IBM Z clients by positioning and selling IBM’s market‑leading resiliency portfolio—including IBM GDPS Solutions and IBM Z Cyber Vault, both of which leverage and drive client investment in IBM Infrastructure and Software. This leader will collaborate closely with clients, business partners, product management, technical sales teams, and broader IBM sales organizations to deliver end‑to‑end resiliency outcomes designed for mission‑critical workloads on IBM Z.

Required Technical And Professional ExpertiseTechnical Expertise
- Deep experience with IBM System Z infrastructure, operations, and high‑availability architectures.
- Strong technical understanding of IBM Z GDPS architectures—Single Site, Multi‑Site, and Hyper Swap.
- Knowledge of IBM DS8000 storage systems, including replication technologies (Metro Mirror, Global Mirror).
- Experience with IBM Z storage resiliency strategies, including multi‑site disaster recovery, continuous availability, and automated failover.
- Familiarity with automation software for orchestrated recovery, system automation, and end‑to‑end recovery playbooks.
Sales Skills
- 7–12+ years of enterprise sales experience (preferably infrastructure, storage, mainframe, or resiliency solutions).
- Proven track record meeting or exceeding high‑value sales quotas.
- Strong customer negotiation skills and executive presence.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.
Leadership & Communication
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills across matrixed organizations.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Comfort leading discussions with technical engineering teams as well as senior business leaders.
Preferred technical and professional experience
- Prior experience selling IBM Z infrastructure or storage solutions.
- Background in business continuity, disaster recovery, or cyber‑resilience.
- Certifications in resiliency or storage architecture fields.
- Familiarity with regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government).
