IT Business Relationship Manager - Logistics - Base Salary to 150k/year - Walton, KY

The IT Business Relationship Manager serves as the strategic and tactical liaison between IT and the business. This role focuses on discovering IT solutions, gathering requirements, conducting business analysis, and overseeing project development and delivery. The IT Business Relationship Manager is involved in the development of IT strategy and provides trusted guidance to both business stakeholders and the IT team. They advocate for the needs and priorities of business stakeholders to ensure that IT services align with those requirements.

• Contribute as a member of the IT Leadership Team.
• Ensure decisions align with organizational strategies and objectives by collaborating with other IT management members.
• Engage in the creation, communication, management, and upkeep of IT policies and procedures within the department.
• Assist in formulating the IT Strategic Plan and managing the Application Portfolio to align with business goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technology developments, especially in the 3PL sector. Identify opportunities for innovation and collaborate with business leaders to leverage such technologies.
• Monitor regulatory requirements and industry standards to understand their influence on enterprise systems and processes.
• Design, implement, and uphold policies and training plans regarding the design, development, deployment, and support of business applications.
• Sustain internal IT systems, including Project Management, Task Management, and Time Management systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee application-related projects to ensure alignment with business goals and priorities.
• Manage risks associated with projects that could affect timelines, costs, resources, scope, or business value.
• Participate in governance processes that dictate project prioritization and resource allocation, preparing materials in advance of relevant sessions.
• Advise and mentor business leaders to express functional needs related to technology and resources.
• Collaborate with both IT and business units to create and refine long-term capability roadmaps.
• Facilitate the identification and understanding of business demand, ensuring that potential value is captured and optimized.
• Work closely with teams to support business transformation, manage change effectively, and align expectations for all initiatives.
• Collaborate with development and IT support teams to maintain a well-managed initiative portfolio.
• Work with business leaders in planning new projects, assessing proposals, and evaluating their alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
• Integrate technology into strategic plans for business growth and development.
• Focus on delivering business value when developing solutions, considering digital trends, risks, continuity, financial impacts, and resource capabilities.
• Align planning initiatives with business value and prioritization.
• Ensure IT Management understands the details of business partnerships, objectives, priorities, and capabilities.
• Lead project teams to ensure successful implementation of initiatives while guiding them through the governance process.
• Evaluate project progress against strategic plans and organizational objectives.
• Foster the development of business partner relationships to enhance value and capabilities within the IT function.
• Cultivate a strong understanding of industry best practices, competitive forces, and evolving trends.
• Stay informed about relevant technologies and their implications for organizational strategic objectives.
• Gather and document functional and technical requirements effectively.
• Provide guidance and leadership to Business Analysts.
• Regularly assess and communicate the business value achieved through initiatives.

• 5+ years of functional experience in a business-facing IT organization with demonstrated experience in partnering with business stakeholders and IT Leadership.
• 3+ years of experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects.
• Working knowledge of at least one common project management/delivery methodology (e.g., PMI/PMP, Agile, SAFE Agile, Scrum, PRiSM).

• Base salary in the 120k - 150k/year range.
