- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle and Postgre
SQL database software - Monitor database performance and implement solutions to optimize efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including backups, restores, and recovery
- Manage database security and troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database schemas and assist with query optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator with a focus on Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Proven expertise in Oracle database administration, including RAC and performance tuning
- Demonstrable experience with Postgre
SQL administration, including replication and performance tuning - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database)
- Experience with database backup and recovery strategies and tools (e.g., RMAN for Oracle, / for Postgres)
