Junior IT Manager Position

As a Junior IT Manager at Orthodontic Experts Management, you will provide daily IT operations support, manage OEM IT projects, and handle asset management, documentation, procurement, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operations

  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations and project tasks.
  • Provide backup duties for dispatching, schedule coordination, and OEM IT support queue management.
  • Enforce policies and procedures, standards adherence, and exception handling.
  • Meet or exceed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Participate in committees or work sessions as required.

Documentation

  • Create and maintain full project documentation, including those of the IT MSP, in the GRC platform.
  • Deliver a runbook at the end of each project that has been tested for quality assurance and signed off by the project owner.
  • Maintain technical documents, including runbooks.
  • Participate in the annual audit of runbooks.

IT Project Management

  • Collaborate with supervisors to manage OEM IT projects with IT MSP and external parties.
  • Gather and analyze requirements, develop work plans, schedules, resource and risk plans.
  • Capture all project information in the GRC platform after approval.
  • Organize meetings, create agendas and minutes, and meet stakeholders to address project goals.
  • Set and track milestones, adjust timelines, and ensure on‑time completion.
  • Adhere to budget, schedule, scope, and raise issues promptly.
  • Coordinate internal resources and external project managers.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare status reports and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Provide training, create training materials, and facilitate project hand‑off to production.

Procurement

  • Research vendors and negotiate pricing for IT asset procurement and licensing.
  • Ensure purchased products align with existing technology platforms and security standards.
  • Review invoices against orders, following processing policies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and software licensing via the GRC platform.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree and 3 years of hands‑on experience in IT operations or project management.
  • Exceptional documentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management methodologies.
  • Proven success delivering complex IT projects to production, including applications, infrastructure upgrades, hardware deployment, network configuration, security, training, and cloud migrations.
  • Strong technical expertise with IT infrastructure, application support/development, and cloud technologies.
  • Travel to local and out‑of‑state locations; valid driver’s license required.
  • CAPM certification.
  • Hands‑on support as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with GRC platforms.
  • Six Sigma or PMP certification.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment.
Working Hours & Location
  • Location:

    1700 W Higgins Rd, Des Plaines, IL 60018 (must work onsite).
  • Hours:

    8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Full‑time, exempt.

Salary

$65,000 – $75,000 annually
