Transitional Technologies, established in 2003, is seeking a Service Desk Technician to support our clients through proactive network management and services. We prioritize team players and well-rounded individuals.

Located in Louisville, KY, we serve clients mainly remotely, reducing the need for extensive travel unless necessary.

Role Description: The Service Desk requires a driven individual with problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset to address user computing issues effectively. The role involves maintaining user uptime, enhancing computing experiences through remote monitoring and maintenance, and delivering exceptional customer service. Candidates should be energetic, eager to learn new technologies, and dedicated to providing outstanding support.

Responsibilities include using RMM and PSA tools to support users, managing service requests, collaborating with staff and vendors, participating in training, obtaining certifications, and reporting to management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience/certifications.
  • At least three years of technical support experience, preferably in SMB markets.
  • Knowledge of supported software and technologies, including PSA and RMM.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
  • Dependability, organization, and flexibility.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Background check and drug screening required.

This Position Entails:

  • Performing technical triage on customer requests.
  • Preparing equipment for deployment.
  • Traveling to customer sites as needed.
  • Adapting quickly to changing requirements and challenges.
  • Managing ongoing projects within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Troubleshooting network and equipment issues, preferably remotely.
  • Obtaining multiple vendor certifications within the first 90 days.
  • Analyzing remote monitoring reports to identify and resolve capacity and performance issues.
  • Supporting and maintaining users’ networks, equipment, and services.
