Client: Confidential (Banking client)
Role: Jira Administrator
Start date: January 15, 2026
End date: September 30, 2026
Number of resources needed: 1
Location & work model: Montreal, QC or Toronto, ON Hybrid (minimum 2 days per week in office outside of travel weeks)
Travel: Ability to travel to Montreal periodically if not based there (1-2 times per month, for 2 days at a time if required).
Clearance: Client will conduct their own background checks including credit check
Language: English, French is a bonus (not required)
Role Overview- The Jira Administrator will manage and optimise the Jira environment to support our team's project management and Agile delivery needs. This includes system configuration, user provisioning, dashboard creation, and driving Jira hygiene activities to ensure data integrity and usability across the organisation.
- Configure and maintain Jira projects, workflows, screens, fields, and permissions.
- Work with centralized Jira admin team to implement our team-specific requirements and enhancements, install and configure Jira plugins and integrations (e.g., Confluence, Zephyr).
- Manage user access.
- Create dashboards and reports to support team performance tracking.
- Drive Jira hygiene activities, including archiving redundant projects and maintaining data integrity.
- Provide user support and troubleshoot Jira-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to promote effective Jira usage.
- Document configurations and maintain knowledge base articles.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience in Jira administration, including workflow design, bulk data updates, user management, and dashboard creation.
- Familiarity with Atlassian ecosystem (Confluence).
- Knowledge of JQL (Jira Query Language) and scripting for automation (e.g., Script Runner).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and ability to tailor Jira to Agile teams.
- Experience with plugins and integrations, including installation and configuration.
- Basic knowledge of APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator.
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS) and ITIL framework.
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (JavaScript, Python) for advanced customisation.
- Experience in large-scale integration or transformation programmes is an asset.
- Willingness to learn SQL and Azure Data Factory concepts.
- Minimum 2 3 years of hands‑on experience with Jira administration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- Comfortable working independently in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments with agility and rigor.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
