Overview

At Deco Art, the HR Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the HR Director and daily HR operations across the organization. This is a hands-on, people-focused position offering exposure to recruiting, onboarding and offboarding, employee relations support, benefits and leave administration, HRIS management, and payroll coordination.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is eager to continue developing their HR knowledge while supporting employees across multiple locations.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees across all levels of the organization.
  • Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities for hourly manufacturing and distribution roles; support additional hiring needs as required.
  • Provide administrative support for health and benefit programs, including enrollments, status changes, and disability claims.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records related to new hires, terminations, promotions, and compensation changes.
  • Organize and maintain personnel files to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
  • Prepare and support HR reporting and workforce metrics as needed.
  • Support administration of leave programs, including FMLA and short-term disability, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with HR best practices and employment law requirements.
  • Support a fast-paced HR environment requiring flexibility and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum of two (2) years of human resources experience
  • Demonstrated reliability through a consistent work history and strong professional commitment
  • Exposure to payroll processes or a strong willingness and aptitude to learn
  • Experience supporting benefits administration or leave processes preferred
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity experience is a plus but not required)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and related business software
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws or a strong interest in developing in this area
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-through
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable communicating professionally with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as business needs require
