Department: Vanceburg Family Health Center
Shift/schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of the Family Health Center Manager and/or Office Supervisor. The primary job function of the Lab Technician Assistant – Physician Office is to perform venipunctures and other specimen collections for Laboratory testing. Performs and processes electrocardiograms. Performs non‑complex diagnostic testing under the supervision of Lab Manager. Prepares specimens for transport. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS- High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam – Required
- Basic chemistry and biology – Preferred
- BLS within 90 days of hire – Required
- Three to six months of laboratory experience – Preferred
- Previous phlebotomy experience – Preferred
