As part of our comprehensive in-house therapy program, Occupational Therapy Assistants play a key role in supporting individualized treatment plans and helping residents regain independence in daily living skills. Provide occupational therapy and related services for patients under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within organizational guidelines. Provide quality patient care, including ongoing treatment per a plan of care, supervision of rehabilitation technicians where required, and case management responsibilities.

Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing occupational therapy practice.

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist. Assist in screening and providing input to initial evaluations as appropriate.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Comply with state and federal guidelines regarding accurate and timely documentation and billing.
• Establish and maintain effective patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.
• Provide direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and administrative meetings as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Maintain awareness of changes in patient conditions and programs and communicate patient progress in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information.
• Conduct oneself in an ethical, legal, and professional manner at all times.

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.
