Job Description
Export Compliance Administration:
- Supports oversight of Export/Import Activities, inclusive of export filing and customs entry compliance, product classification accuracy, and shipment monitoring
- Performs daily operations for Duty Drawback clients ensuring all relevant SOPs are followed and presents strategies to maximize our client's Duty Drawback Program.
- Takes measures for efficient management of Export Control Authorizations, including preparation, submission, implementation, monitoring and reporting
- Develop and own operational metrics to assure compliance to all export / import country compliance processes
- Collaborate with Product Classification focal and relevant departments to perform complex Export classifications of items and equipment parts, components, accessories and technology, and document decisions taken
- Review and propose improvements to bring existing procedures in alignment with current activity and regulatory requirements
- Ensures Record Keeping is maintained in accordance to regulatory requirements
- Supports training development, administration, tracking and reporting of site statistics
- Performs annual self-assessment in alignment with Corporate Standards
- Submit and support continuous improvement ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost (KPI)
- Completes special projects and reports as assigned
We are looking for an experienced Compliance Professional with a strong background in both Export/Import compliance and logistics operations. This individual will be responsible for compliance activities with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), EAR (Export Administration Regulations), and support activities in Import, US Customs, Duty Drawback program(s). In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
You will be expected to identify and drive improvements as well as collaborate across departments to perform complex classifications and build KPI reporting relevant to all aspects of Compliance and Logistics. This role reports directly to the Global Trade Manager, Site Compliance Officer and will act as a backup to other members of the Compliance & Logistics Department.
