Financial Analyst

3 plus years of Accounting/Finance experience

Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for a manufacturing company located in the Lorain, OH area. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the financial processes including finance controls, general ledger and fixed asset

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3–6 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or cost accounting
• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial statements
• Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial results, including variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Support month-end close activities by preparing journal entries, schedules, and reconciliations under the direction of the Plant Controller.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate variances or unusual activity.
• Assist with standard cost updates, cost analysis, and inventory-related financial reporting in coordination with Materials and Operations.
• Develop and maintain operational and financial reports to support plant performance metrics.
• Assist with capital expenditure tracking and reporting; prepare supporting documentation.
• Support fixed asset accounting activities including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
