Finance Assistant – Permanent, Full Time

The Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking a Finance Assistant to join our Accounts Payable/Receivable team at our National Headquarters in Edinburgh. This is a permanent, full-time position. Flexible working arrangements are under review, but at least one day per week in the office will be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process high volumes of invoices promptly to ensure timely supplier payments and effective query resolution.
  • Raise charges to public and private organisations for services provided, ensuring prompt invoicing and adherence to debt collection procedures.
Essential Skills And Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to new systems.
  • Excellent telephone manner, data entry skills, and keyboard accuracy.
  • Previous experience with purchase ordering and finance systems within a finance team is desirable.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and external agencies.
