Assistant Controller

Ainsley Search Group is hiring Assistant Controller to join a global performance materials company located in Ballard County. This Assistant Controller will maintain, streamline and oversee cost accounting, month‑end closing, reconciliation, journal entries, AP/AR, inventory cycle count, support cost estimate for machinery and overhead, and support job proposal regarding cost of labor, materials, etc. This is a full‑time, permanent opportunity with lucrative compensation, bonuses, and benefit, in addition, the company would like to develop this individual to become the Regional Controller.

• Planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
• Maintain accurate standard cost using ERP systems, account, reconcile cost of goods sold, inventory, labor, etc.
• Perform detailed cost analysis of machinery, overheads, and budgets, generate financial reports regarding cost versus budget, cost versus targets, identify area of improvement and investigate root cause for cost related issue.
• Investigate all cost variance and communicate the cause with management, drive improvement process to control cost and drive cost saving opportunities.
• Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
• Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures.
• Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports.
• Making estimates of new and proposed product costs, support cross functional teams’ inquiries on cost data on projects, budgets and products.
• Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
• Maintaining Cost Accounting System.
• Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger.
• Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program, audit and reconciled physical inventory cycle count.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, higher education desired.
• Recent years of tenure in cost accounting, assistant controller in manufacturing industry or similar industries.
• Proficient in data manipulation, analysis and Excel, problem solver and strong in analytical thinking.
• Ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Dependable, excellent in communication and people skill, ability to work well with various level of personnel.
• Aspiration to advance to Regional Controller level.
